read moreCongratulations to our 2026 Champions, Hugh Armstrong (Ballina A.C. / Dublin Track Club) and Faye Dervan (Dublin City Harriers A.C.), who claimed impressive victories in this year’s Tom Brennan Memorial 5K, recording winning times of 14:44 min and 16:26 min respectively, from a strong field of 580 finishers.
We enjoyed another excellent edition of the Cake Race 2025 (the second race in our Club Winter League), with a fantastic turnout of 41 athletes taking part. As always, the handicapped format delivered an exciting and competitive race, featuring a tight finish and plenty of in race rivalries throughout the field.

read moreOn a cool and cloudy morning, the 2025 Jingle Bells 5k Run took place under temperatures of 10°C / 8°C, with passing clouds, 94% humidity, a 985 mbar barometer, and a WSW wind at 14 km/h. 1914 participants finished the race. Despite the challenging weather, the Liffey Valley A.C. athletes delivered outstanding performances, with most runners achieving new personal bests. The team showed exceptional depth and determination, led by Pierce Geoghegan’s remarkable 15:14 finish (2nd in M40 category), closely followed by strong sub-16 efforts from Geoffrey Alexandre and Mark Naylor. Excellent runs across all categories, including superb times from Tom O’Connor (1st in M60 category), Neil Duffy, Luke Ryder, Bernard O’Sullivan, Martin Dorgan, and Pat Collins, highlighted a fantastic day for the club and a great start to the festive racing season.
