Liffey Valley AC athletes delivered outstanding performances at the Great Ireland Run 10km in Phoenix Park on Sunday, competing against a quality field of 3,202 finishers in challenging cold and windy conditions.
Pierce Geoghegan led the club home in brilliant fashion, securing 13th place overall with an impressive time of 32:16, earning him 1st place in the M40 category.
Mark Naylor continued his excellent form with 19th place in 32:40, while David Carroll (24th, 33:18) and Geoffrey Alexandre (27th, 33:33) packed well inside the top with 2nd and 3rd place finishes in the competitive M35 category.
On the women’s side, Elle O’Driscoll was the club’s top performer with 37:12 for 84th place overall, followed by Mollie O’Donnell in 37:59 (106th) winning 1st place in the W35 category.
Other notable finishes included Simon Monds (37:40, M45), Jason McGlone (38:42, MS), Neil Duffy (39:24, M45), and Cliodhna Tutty Bardon (40:07, FS).
A total of 18 LVAC athletes toed the line, with PBs achieved and strong showings across all age categories. Well done to everyone who raced! 🟡🔵
