Club 5k & 10k Road Championships and George Harrison and Myles Cullen Trophies.
Sunday, 17 September, 2023

The George Harrison and Myles Cullen Memorial Races took place on Sunday in the Phoenix Park.

Myles Cullen was the founding chairperson of Liffey Valley AC and was integral to the founding of the club. The Myles Cullen Memorial Trophy is awarded to the winner of the closed handicap 10km race for men.

George Harrison played a key role in the development of the women's section of Liffey Valley. The George Harrison Trophy is awarded to the winner of the closed handicap 5km race for women.

It was fantastic to see George and Myles Families again for these races, with George's daughter Grace Harrison> baking a wonderful LVAC Cake and Myles' grandson Oisin Cullen racing in the 10k race.

Congratulations to this year's winners - Conal Fagan and Heather Browning. Both Conal and Heather are newer members of our club and have made great improvements since joining!

Well done to all our athletes for taking part. Thank you as always to our officials for organising a race and to our volunteers for providing refreshments afterwards.
