The club had a number of athletes competing in the Spar Autumn Classic Cross Country Race on Sunday last, October 20th in Abbottstown, with Peter Arthur leading the group home in 22nd place in a time of 24min 22secs, Pierce Geoghegan also ran well to finish in 32nd place in 25min 30secs while Rory Geraghty making his club debut ran 29mins 03secs for 44th place.

read moreThis Sunday just gone Liffey Valley were out in force marshalling the 37th Women’s Mini-Marathon. With over 30000 entrants it is billed by the organisers as the biggest event of its kind in the world. Liffey Valley club members were stationed from Sandymount Avenue to the finish and so were on-hand to provide help and encouragement to the runners as they neared the end of the hard slog.
read moreThe National 5K Road Championships was held in conjunction with the Irish Runner 5K. 1100 runners took part in this event which marks the first race in the Athletics Ireland Race Series. It was a fine day for a race, with a bit of a breeze and a chill but nothing to stop our runners achiving some of their all time best results.
