LVAC Winter League 2025/2026
The LVAC Winter League 2025/2026 (WL) is a six-race series exclusively for Liffey Valley AC members, running from November 2025 to late March 2026. The league consists of four cross-country races and two road races.
How the League Works
The Winter League trophy is awarded to the athlete who finishes the series with the highest total from their best four results out of the six races.
Points System
WL points are awarded based on finishing position in each race. All finishers score points, even further down the field.

Bonus Points
+40 points for running Race 1 (5km Club XC)
+50 points for running Race 4 (5km W/10km M Club XC)
+10 points for completing at least 5 of the 6 races
This means you can still contend for the WL title even if you only complete four races.
Race Format
Most WL races use a handicap format, where slower runners receive a head start. Because of this, the Winter League rewards consistency, commitment, and smart racing as much as pure speed.
Why Take Part?
Race alongside your clubmates in a friendly, competitive environment.
Build the habit of regular racing through the winter months.
