Leinster Senior Medal Wins

In Adamstown on Sunday last Nov 11th Peter Arthur in 3rd place and Pierce Geoghegan in 4th spot led the club team to Silver Team Medals in the Leinster Senior Cross country Championships on a tough course on wet and windy day which was a real test for the athletes involved.

Myles Cullen 10k and George Harrison 5k

The 2018 edition of the LVAC 10km (men’s) and 5Km (women’s) championship took place in blustery conditions on the Acres lap. The club championship, which incorporates the Myles Cullen and George Harrison memorial trophies was a keenly contested event with many battles taking places in both races.

Bogdan Florean finishes third in Dublin Novice Road Championships

Bogdan Florean ran a fine race to finish 7th in 16m06.87 in Tallaght 5k on Sunday. In the Dublin Novice Road Championships incorporated into the race he finished third with the overall race winner eligible for Novice status despite being a 13m30s 5k performer on the track.

LVAC Cross Country Championships

Sile Carroll and Peter Arthur retained their respective titles in mild and relatively calm conditions in the Phoenix Park on Sunday. The going was soft in parts of the course due to the recent heavy snow. The combined start of the 5k womens and 8k mens races provided an opportunity for some interesting battles throughout the field.

LVAC Club 4k Cross Country Race Report

A good field of 23 signed up for the second race in the Winter League series which was a 4K Open Handicap Cross Country race. First person off was Stephen Coughlan on go with Clare Kavanagh on 45 seconds next to go. Aoife Brady and Luke Ryder followed on as the rest of the field got underway with Scratch man Neil O’Rourke starting at 5 mins 45 seconds.
