LVAC XC Championships

Well done to all who attended on a truly special and emotional day for the club, as our Club XC Championships took place in the Phoenix Park on a breezy morning with welcome sunshine during the race, marking the 4th of 6 Winter League races.
On the course, Women and M60+ completed 5km (2 laps) around the Dog Pond, while the Men raced 10km (4 laps).
A huge congratulations to our XC Champions, Pierce Geoghegan and Siobhán Nugent, superbly supported by Mark Naylor, Simon Monds, Lynn Devitt and Orla Gordon.
The day was made even more meaningful by the presence of so many friends of the club, from current members to familiar faces from years gone by, coming together in a touching tribute to everything Nick represented. It was our privilege to welcome Kathryn and Colm, Jean, Jimmy, Mary and Suzanne to the post-race presentations.
We were also delighted to crown Aoife Brady as the first-ever winner of the Nick Davis Perpetual Cup, a new club recognition introduced in memory of Nick Davis, honouring his legacy, commitment and outstanding performance, with Aoife proudly becoming the first name engraved on the cup.
Congratulations to all our athletes and, as always, a big thank you to our officials for making the race possible.
